Nearly a year into my journey with Lyndsay I found myself more confident than I have ever felt in my life. I know that’s a bold statement one which if you had asked me a year ago I would have said you were crazy but it’s true. 

I was going to the gym with Lyndsay 4 times a week, lifting more than I could have imagined gaining more confidence in using different machines and learning my true ability. With Lyndsay motivating me to push that little bit harder each time I physically and emotionally felt stronger than I ever thought possible.

Then we were hit with the realisation that our world would be changing like never before! I have to admit at first I thought a flu like virus.....won’t effect me, I don’t have any medical problems, why is everyone worrying. Then it hit me like a sledge hammer. I had previously struggled with anxiety and to get into the gym in the first place was a mammoth task. Panic started to set in, my head started buzzing again and rather than taking a deep breath and thinking logically I started to retreat and shut down. Luckily Lyndsay didn’t let me give up she has learnt a lot about me and taken the time to listen and understand me so knew that I was struggling. Lyndsay hasn’t let me give in and has guided me back on track giving me support and motivation. We are now doing FaceTime sessions which have given me the boost that I need to deal with the challenges daily life is setting us at the moment. In addition to this Lyndsay is always at hand to make sure I am feeling ok and coping with the changes we are facing.

"Having spent most of my life battling with my weight I decided this year I had to make a change. My confidence was at an all time low and I was trying every fad diet possible to try and lose weight. I have always been scared of exercising for two main reasons. One I was so unfit I was embarrassed to try to exercise and two that in previous years when I did exercise the scales weren’t always my friend. 

 

I have been to numerous weight loss classes and been shamed by them shouting loudly another 2 pounds on or maybe you should NOT exercise as it won’t help! So many different opinions that contradicted each other sent my mind racing! I decided to ditch the scales as every time I lost weight and got to target I still felt I needed to lose more. I would then panic I wasn’t losing quick enough then give up and binge then end up putting on more weight than I lost to begin with!

 

In March this year I was introduced to Lyndsay. Having been terrified of going to the gym I can say I feel completely safe with Lyndsay by my side. I look forward to every session and am enjoying learning how what I am doing is working my body and how it will help my fitness and body shape. I can honestly say I have learnt more from Lyndsay in these few months than in my 20 plus years of dieting! I am no longer obsessed with scales infact I haven’t stepped on them since I started my journey. Lyndsay has provided me with the tools I need to eat healthily and be more active when I’m not in the gym. I am feeling stronger and others have noticed the change in my body shape. 

 

Previous to starting my sessions with Lyndsay I would not look in the mirror now I have the confidence to look. I have went from being so tired to having so much more energy it is like night and day. Lyndsay’s positive attitude is infectious and she motivates me to push that little bit harder every time. "There is no Quick Fix Lyndsay replied to my one week before holiday cry for help…..   = My Starting point

 

Averaging 3 classes per week and fitbitting my way round the world on a treadmill for 6 months had made zero impact on my physical & mental shape.   I had heard about Personal trainers before but thought it was only for really fit,beautiful and toned bodies.  

 

“THERE IS NO QUICK FIX”  echoed in my thoughts, I knew I had to sign myself up for a block of sessions with LG. For me personally I was glad that I would have a female trainer, maybe she wouldn’t be so hard on me…(why on earth did I think that????)

 

Our  first session was based around nutrition education, aims, goals then from there we moved into the Gym.   To build up my strength and on reflection my confidence we started with TRX, having done a few TRX classes (albeit moving incorrectly and going home in pain) I was able to learn 1:1 with LG how to correct & position  my body to get the desired affects from the movements, working on co-ordination and timing.

 

LG provides online for support,  its like having a virtual coach too! My programmes were sent to me and this allowed me to venture into the gym myself to perfect my workout. . I have always continued my pilates classes with LG, great for warming up and down too.   I had a recent injury and for this period my programme was adjusted to suit and to ensure my strength as well as my drive to succeed was maintained.

 

My journey moved into weights sometime ago and this is where I have seen the biggest change in my shape and sheer enjoyment of the “sport”  

The  importance of having 1:1 support in this area to ensure I was training correctly, has been invaluable, without PT I can only imagine the mess I could have made and then probably given up anyway….  Yes it is tough work, but I now love the work being tough, its an ongoing challenge but the rewards make it all worth it. NONE OF THIS could have been possible without LG as my PT, she is a pleasure to work with, keeps it all fresh and fun and has a genuine interest in her clients  aspirations, in fact she helps build them.   Working with LG literally transformed  my attitude,my shape, my attitude to food, my overall outlook on life has been enhanced and I couldnt rate her high enough!"

"I first met Lyndsay a year ago and I had no idea how to train in the gym.  I felt really out of my depth on my own.  For a long time I had only exercised by doing cardio classes and I was never seeing the results that I wanted.

 

Lyndsay started off by building my confidence in the gym with lifting weights and then introduced me to a nutrition plan to go along with my training.  My training and nutrition plan were completely tailored to me and I started to see fantastic results with my confidence in the gym increasing all the time.

 

My workouts are varied and every day is different.  This keeps it interesting and fun which is a must for me!  I would recommend Lyndsay with her skills and knowledge to anyone.  I only wish I had met her sooner!'
